Letting go of Negative Thoughts

This feature class with Kelsang Lekchog covers a wide range of engaging topics. Drop in whenever you can as each class is self-contained.

The evening  includes 2 guided meditations and a practical teaching on how to apply the ancient wisdom of Buddha’s teachings to busy modern life. Not to be missed!

The classes conclude with the opportunity to discuss the class with the teacher and/or other members of the class.

In this series we will learn how to develop and maintain a light and positive mind by recognising and letting go of the negative thoughts that so can often crowd our mind. More often than not our thoughts take us to places that we don't want to be. We feel we have no choice but to think the thoughts we think.
 
Using Buddhist meditation techniques we will learn how to identify and reduce unwanted thoughts and replace them with peaceful and beneficial ones. In this way we learn the skills to make ourselves happy, and help those around us.
 
This is a practical based course where practices and methods will be explained enabling you to establish the internal tools to bring about positive inner transformation.
 
Each session will include a combination of teachings and meditation with an opportunity to ask questions at the end. Suitable for beginners and everyone welcome.

Kelsang Lekchog is the Resident Teacher here at KMC Sheffield. Her warmth and kindness show in her teachings , and she is able to explain clearly Buddha’s profound teachings in a way that is suitable for everyone. She has studied, practiced & taught Kadampa Buddhism for almost 20 years. Her having studied extensively on the Special Teacher Training Programme for many years make her very qualified.
