Kelsang Lekchog will grant Dorje Shugdan blessing Empowerment on Sunday 24th April. Dorje Shugden is a Buddha who is the special dharma protector of Kadampa Buddhism.

 

His nature is wisdom and his function is to protect our inner experiences of peace, from the very first insights to profound realisations. He also functions to avert any inner or outer obstacles we may experience to our spiritual practice. 

 
By relying on him as a special friend and protector we will receive special blessings that enable us to overcome obstacles and gather the necessary inner outer conditions for spiritual progress. 
 
What is an empowerment?
 
An empowerment is a special blissful guided meditation in which we create a deep connection with this Buddha and which we receive powerful blessings that will enable us to actualise our own potential for enlightenment.
 
The Teacher

Kelsang Lekchog, a Kadampa Buddhist nun, is the principal teacher at KMC Sheffield. Lekchog has over 20yrs experience of practising Buddhas teachings under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. She is known for her gentle manner and powerful practical teachings.
