Emptiness in Daily Life
Emptiness is the way things really are. Its the ways exist as opposed the way they appear.. It is not nothingness.
Just by gaining a small understanding of this we can use this in our daily life in all our acivities to help us overcome our real problems, which are our unpleasant feelings. If we begin to understand that everything that appears to us is illusory, just like things in a dream we will live our life without grasping. We will be able to treat everything lightly with flexibility of mind and respond to every situatation in a constructive way. It will give us real freedom and peace of mind.
Gen Kelsang Jigme the Resident Teacher of KMC Liverpool is the visiting Teacher who will give this day course.
Ordained as a monk in 1997 by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, Gen Jigme has studied, practised and taught Kadampa Buddhism under Geshe Kelsang’s guidance in major Kadampa Centres throughout the UK for many years. He shows a humble, kind example as a practitioner and his clear explanations of Buddha’s teachings give us the confidence to practise them in our daily life.
This course is open to everyone and prior experience is necessary.
