Introduction to Tantra – A meditation workshop on  Buddhas Tantra teachings

 We are delighted to announce that this workshop is open to in-person and online bookings. 

Sat 12th June 10-12.30pm  with Principal Teacher Kelsang Lekchog.

Tantra is a special inner science that teaches how we can change our mind, our self and our life.

The teachings of Tantra are the most rare and precious within Buddhism. They show us how to overcome the limiting views of ourselves, others, and the world around us that give rise to fear, anxiety, and other painful thoughts. Tantra helps us create positive energy and wisdom through special meditations that lead us to enlightenment.

During this course,  Kelsang Lekchog will show us how the basis for training in Tantra is realizing that everyone has an extraordinary potential to live a life of great freedom and joy. In Tantric meditation we will find the perfect methods to access and fully actualize this inner potential so we can become the truly loving, compassionate, and wise person we wish to be.

In addition,  this course provides a perfect preparation for the Highest Yoga Tantra Empowerments of Heruka and Vajrayogini which will be granted in August at  Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre. 

Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche says, “The gateway through which we enter Tantra is receiving a Tantric empowerment. An empowerment bestows upon us special blessings that heal our mental continuum and awaken our Buddha nature.”

The empowerments and teachings in Week 2 will open the door to Highest Yoga Tantra, the very essence of Kadampa Buddhism and the quick path to enlightenment.

 The workshop is available for 7 days after on-line – even if you attend in-person

. In-Person Classes General Information

  • You must wear a mask by law - unless exempt

If you are ill

Please protect others by not coming into the centre.

If you are under the weather for any reason, our online classes and/or courses may be ideal for your needs.

Only use the main front door and the toilet nearest to it. We are unable to offer our accessible toilet and baby changing at the moment.

There is a limit on how many people can be in the Meditation Room together, so you will need to book in advance. You will asked to provide contact details for test and trace purposes.

Social Distancing/ Keeping Everyone Safe

  • You must wear a mask in the building - Unless you are exempt
  • When you arrive, please wash your hands in accordance with Government guidelines, and dry them using the paper towels or use the hand sanitiser provided.
  • Please maintain a physical distance of 2 metres, from everyone else in the building.
  • The chairs have been set out in the Meditation Room so that everyone is 2m metre apart, and no-one is directly facing anyone else. Please don’t move the chairs
  • We play the Liberating Prayer during our classes. No-one may sing.

This class will be live-streamed.  When you have booked below you will be sent a link to access the class. (check Spam folder) If you can’t make the class or wish to see it again, you will have access to the recorded class for 48 hours once the live class has ended via a link that will be sent to you.

We recommend that you find a quiet, comfortable space to get the benefit out of the class. Most importantly, enjoy!
