An inspiring half day workshop and wonderful opportunity to learn about the practice of Buddhist meditation. Meditation is a way of calming the mind and developing a positive approach to life. Discover simple meditation techniques to clear the mind, reduce mental tension and busyness, and experience peace within. The workshop will include practical tips on improving our ability to meditate and how to start a daily meditation practice. This course is suitable for both beginners and those wishing to improve their meditation practice. This is a practical-based course where you will get the opportunity to experience the benefits of meditation for yourself. It consists of an explanation of the fundamentals of meditation, guided meditations and there will be an opportunity to ask questions if you wish. During the morning there will be a break for refreshments and time to meet like-minded people. Participants generally sit on chairs, but we have cushions available for those who wish to meditate sitting on the floor.
