Letting go of self criticism and guilt – Sat. 16 March 10am – 1pm with Paul Jenkins
Often we can be our own harshest judge. Self critical thoughts and guilty minds often arise from having very high expectations of ourselves of which are almost impossible to reach and as a result can lead to us beating ourselves up when we don’t live up to them.
These states of mind never help us to become a better or more effective person, in fact they prevent us from coming the person we can and want to become.
On this course we can learn how to develop more realistic expectations of ourselves whilst still trying to improve and fulfill our full potential.
This course will be taught by Paul Jenkins, who is the principal teacher at Tara Kadampa Meditation Centre in Derbyshire. A dedicated student of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, Paul has been studying and teaching Kadampa Buddhism for over 30 years. He is married with 3 children and has practical experience of integrating Modern Buddhism within a busy, professional, family life.
