Life throws many difficult things our way which cause us worry, anxiety , stress and unhappiness. We try to protect ourselves from the storms of life and relieve our painful feelings by taking refuge in others and many modern panaceas. However this relief is temporary.
By taking refuge in Buddha’s teachings, his blessings and those who are sincerely trying to put his teachings into practice , we find a more profound peace and ultimately we can be permanently released from all disturbed and unhappy states of mind.
This weekend will start with a half day workshop (10am – 1pm) explaining the 3 jewels and Buddhist refuge. If you wish, there is an opportunity to engage in retreat afterwards and deepen your experience of the beautiful minds that protect us from suffering and problems.
