Sessions for School groups

We have worked with many local schools to introduce students to meditation and
Buddhism. Our sessions can support the curriculum in a number of ways: RE, PSHE, etc.
They can also introduce ways of enhancing well being. We work with all groups, including primary, secondary and special schools.
There are two options.
Visiting the Meditation Centre. Our teachers can give an introduction to meditation, and to Buddhism, in the setting of our beautiful, peaceful shrine room. The sessions are practical and engaging, and we can tailor them to your particular needs. The Centre is open to everyone and we are always happy to arrange visits and tours.
Alternatively we can send one of our teachers to your school to run a session or sessions

Charges:

To help cover our running costs, we generally charge for visits:
£30 a session (up to an hour) plus transport costs, if we come to your school.
Visits to us: £1.50 per pupil for primary schools, and £1.50 per pupil for secondary / special schools.
If this presents problems for you, we are happy to discuss and we would not wish to exclude any pupils because of cost.

Sessions for groups and organisations

We run sessions, and courses, for community groups, mental health groups, workplace groups, and others. These can introduce meditation in a practical way – providing tools for enhancing well being, and for letting go of stress, anxiety, etc.
The Centre is open to everyone and we are always happy to arrange visits, and sessions in our Meditation Room. Alternatively, our teachers can come to you to run sessions.

Since this world evolved, human beings have spent almost all their time and energy improving external conditions in their search for happiness and a solution to their problems. What has been the result? Instead of their wishes being fulfilled, human suffering and problems have continued to increase while the experience of happiness and peace is decreasing. This clearly shows that until now we have not found a correct method for reducing our problems and increasing happiness. The actual correct method for doing this is changing our attitude from negative to positive. Click here to download.
